Terms of use

Last updated: 7 August 2026

These terms govern your use of everything Stratum Labs publishes. Please read them before using any of it — they set out what we provide, what we do not promise, and where responsibility sits.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing our websites, or by loading a file into, running or otherwise using any tool or service we publish, you accept these terms in full and confirm you have authority to accept them on behalf of any organisation you are acting for. If you do not accept them, do not use the sites, the tools or the services. If you are subject to rules that conflict with these terms — an employer's policy, a client engagement, a regulatory duty — those obligations are yours to resolve before you use anything here.

What these terms cover

They cover the website stratumlabs.es, the documentation site docs.stratumlabs.es, the Corelog application at corelog.stratumlabs.es, and any other tool, service, dataset, sample file, application programming interface or downloadable artefact published by Stratum Labs, whether free or paid, now or in future. Where a specific product carries its own additional terms, those apply on top of these; if the two genuinely conflict, the product-specific terms prevail for that product alone.

Permitted use

Our free tools are provided at no charge for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. No licence, account or attribution is required. You must not use them to break the law or anyone's rights; to process data you are not authorised to access; to attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure; to circumvent any technical restriction; or to present the tools, in whole or in substantial part, as your own product or service. Automated bulk access to our sites beyond ordinary use requires our prior written agreement.

Your data and your responsibility

You remain the controller of everything you process with our tools, and you are solely responsible for it. You warrant that you have the right and any necessary authorisation to access and analyse it, and that doing so complies with all applicable law — including data protection law, employment law, and any confidentiality or professional-secrecy duty you owe. Corelog performs its analysis entirely within your browser and transmits nothing, so for that product we neither receive, store nor process your data and cannot act as a processor in respect of it. Deciding what is lawful to load is yours alone.

Availability and changes to the services

Everything is provided on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend, restrict, or withdraw any site, tool, feature or service at any time, with or without notice, including altering detection logic, thresholds or output formats. There is no service level, no uptime commitment and no guarantee of continued availability or backward compatibility. Free access does not create an entitlement to continued access. Keep your own copy of anything you need to retain.

No warranty

Everything is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Anomaly detections are heuristics: they produce false positives and they miss real activity. They are an aid to an investigation, never a substitute for one. Nothing our tools output is a finding, an audit opinion, a compliance certification, a legal conclusion or professional advice of any kind. Verify independently anything you intend to rely on.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratum Labs is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, our sites, tools or services — including any decision, escalation, disclosure, report or omission based on their output, and including loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss, whether or not foreseeable. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the twelve months before the claim, which for our free tools is nil. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Stratum Labs against any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from your use of our sites, tools or services in breach of these terms, from your processing of data you were not entitled to process, or from your infringement of any law or third-party right.

Intellectual property

The Stratum Labs and Corelog names and marks, our logos, the software we publish, our detection logic and documentation, and the content of our sites belong to Stratum Labs and are protected by intellectual property law. Using a tool grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it as published, and nothing more — no rights in our marks, and no right to copy, adapt, redistribute, sublicense or create derivative works from our software or content except where a separate open-source licence expressly permits it. Data you process remains entirely yours; we claim nothing over it.

Third-party components and links

Our tools incorporate third-party and open data under their own licences, including the DB-IP IP-to-Country Lite database (CC BY 4.0) and the MITRE ATT&CK framework; those licences and attributions are honoured in the products and their documentation, and their terms govern those components. Our sites may link to third-party resources, which we neither control nor endorse and for which we accept no responsibility.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by Spanish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continuing to use our sites, tools or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in that date, so check it if you rely on these terms.
